In February 2008, 28 year-old Laura Koch, one of Veterinary Referral Center’s nurses, went to her doctor with a cough.  Shockingly she was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.  She and her husband, Steve, now face an aggressive fight to save her life.  As friends and co-workers, those of us at the Veterinary Referral Center want to help them with their struggle to pay her mounting medical expenses not covered by insurance.

The nursing staff at Veterinary Referral Center is truly exceptional. Having highly qualified nurses is every bit as important as having a good doctor. VRC has more experienced nurses than any other hospital in the region. Like our doctors, many have specialty certification in their field.

• Veterinary Referral Center is not a substitute for having a primary care veterinarian. It is very important to have your pet examined regularly by a veterinarian who knows your pet. As a referral center, we do not offer many of the essential services that you regular veterinarian provides.
• The doctors at VRC work with your primary care veterinarian to ensure that your pet receives the best care possible. Our doctors work closely with your veterinarian and provide regular reports to keep them informed of what is happening.
