The Veterinary Referral Center Hospital is an AHAA accredited veterinary referral Hospital where highly specialized veterinarians with advanced training provide the next level of clinical care and treatment for your companion dog or cat. Conveniently located in Malvern, one of the western suburbs of Philadelphia, right on the well-known Main Line and fairly close to Route 202, the VRC Hospital is easily accessible to the greater Mid-Atlantic Region, and an easy drive from New Jersey, Philadelphia, Maryland, Delaware, Wilmington, and Harrisburg.
The VRC Hospital brings together nearly twenty veterinary specialists who provide complete small animal patient services in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Radiology, Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, and Neurosurgery. Veterinary specialists must complete a four year undergraduate degree, and, after a very rigorous selection process, be admitted to one of the very few schools of veterinary medicine, where they have to complete four demanding years of training in veterinary medicine. After their graduation from veterinary school they must obtain a highly sought after one (1) year general internship followed by a very selective three (3) year residency specific to surgery and/or their specialty. In addition, in order to become Board Certified they must also pass a credential review and a specialty board examination.
The VRC Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to provide you and your pet with immediate and ongoing service.
