 Dr.
Swanson is a New Jersey native, with a degree in music from
Rutgers College, New Brunswick, NJ. She is a recent graduate
of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary
Medicine, and has been practicing emergency medicine since
graduation. She finished at Penn with the distinction of
Magna Cum Laude, was an active member of the Phi Zeta
veterinary honors fraternity, and was the recipient of the
1930 Class Prize in Surgery. Dr. Swanson was trained and
practiced as a veterinary nurse for six years, both prior to
and during vet school at emergency and referral practices in
PA and NJ. This experience has been vital to her practice as
a veterinarian. During her last year in veterinary school,
she also completed an externship studying veterinary legal
issues and has an interest in veterinary law and liability.
Her other clinical interests include trauma and
pharmacology. |
