Steven Cole, DVM, DACVECC, DACVIM (Cardiology) |
![]() Dr. Cole grew up in the Washington D.C. area and is a graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York, followed by a three-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been board certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care since 2003. Dr. Cole remained at the University of Pennsylvania to serve as a lecturer in Emergency and Critical Care and to complete a three-year residency in Cardiology. He recently passed his Cardiology certifying examination and is board certified in Cardiology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cole has authored several scientific papers and has contributed to textbooks in Cardiology, Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, and Respiratory Medicine. He has also lectured and presented research at veterinary conferences in both the US and Europe. Dr. Cole is excited to join our growing Cardiology Service, and his special interests include congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology, pacemaker therapy, valvular and myocardial diseases, pericardial disease, cardiac emergencies, and cardiac intensive care. |
